Yes, the spouse of an L-! Visa holder classified as an L-2 Spouse, can legally work in the United States. Following a USCIS policy update effective November 12, 2021, L-2 spouses are considered automatically authorized for employment based on their nonimmigrant status and no longer require a separate Employment Authorization Document (EAD). proof of this work eligibility is established through an unexpired Form I-94 bearing the “L-2S” designation.
